Robyn Hambrook presents "Choreographies of Protest"

In this full-day workshop, British performance artist Robyn Hambrook invites clowns, dancers and activists to explore how playful protest can inspire social change. Held at New Fears Gallery in Kreuzberg, the session runs from 10:00–17:00 on 24 August 2026.

Workshop themes

Clowning for protest: discover how the tools of clowning—humour, empathy and embodiment—can enrich demonstrations and social movements.

Movement and choreography: devise scores and actions for protests, drawing on physical theatre, dance and group improvisation.

Collaboration: work collectively to design creative interventions for public spaces.

Participants work on a sliding-scale contribution and should be comfortable moving and collaborating in a group. The workshop is conducted in English.
